General rules for calculating the cost of written translation of non-standard documents from/into European languages

Base rates are specified for translating general-purpose texts. For general technical or medical texts with complex legal content, a surcharge of 10-30% applies. For rare, highly specific subjects, scientific texts, and other texts of increased complexity, the surcharge is 50%. For an exact translation cost estimate, please contact the Bureau manager.

  1. The rates specified for translating one standard translation page (1800 characters including spaces) are basic rates
  2. The text volume is determined from the original whenever possible
  3. The cost of an additional copy of a translation is calculated as follows:
  • for standard documents: 50% of the total translation cost
  • for non-standard documents: the cost is calculated individually

European languages are perhaps the largest language group

Latin had the greatest influence on their formation and subsequent development. Thus, we owe the existence of the Romance group of European languages precisely to Latin. The vocabulary of the Romance languages clearly demonstrates their common origin.

It can be noted that the most widely spoken language in Europe, by the number of native speakers, is Russian. More than 105 million native Russian speakers live in the European part of Russia. In addition, from 15 to 40 million Russian speakers, including bilinguals, live in Ukraine, and from 6 to 10 million live in Belarus. Overall, approximately 150 million Europeans consider Russian their native language.
